We hope that the message of Nametags™ is not lost once the presentation is over. In order to help keep it alive, we have put together some activities and links to lesson plans.
Nametags are the labels we use to make our world more easily comprehensible. Some are more positive than others. Some we are born with, some happen later on. Some we choose, some we do not. The point of the presentation is that no matter what our Nametags are, we have a choice as to how we respond.
One Revolution is launching its first Student Film Festival in Fall of 2015! Films, due in December 2015 must “turn the perception of disability upside down” Submission must embrace the philosophy of Founder and 13 time Paralympian, Chris Waddell “It’s not what happens to you. One Revolution is in the process of creating 1Revolutionaries!
What is it? We need your help to define it. This summer One Revolution will be teaming up with teens across the country to stage a revolution in your local communities. A revolution that “turns the perception of disabilities upside down;” and we need your help! To serve on the planning committee please call Bonita Hutchison, Executive Director at 435-655-2655 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
1 Revolution, the film, cinematically captures Chris Waddell’s very human journey to dare greatly and ultimately to live fully. This film chronicles the heart and spirit behind an extraordinary achievement as it documents the first almost entirely unassisted paraplegic ascent of 19,340-foot Mt. Kilimanjaro.
